Cutwork in Linen
These napkins are made of plain linen. They are monogrammed, adorned with bobbin lace and have hemstitched edges. There are one dozen napkins in the set. These are very fine and very old - my bet is before WWI. I do not know the origin but the style of the monogram does not look French to me. The napkins measure 17.5" square. My examination showed no weak spots or broken threads in the bobbin lace. One of the napkins has some light spotting I could not remove. They have been washed and are ready for use.
