Rug #582
This light-weight rag rug is made of polyester fabric with cotton/polyester warp threads. It is a lovely shade of soft blue and measures 28" x 48".
This is an example of a "Log Cabin" weave. The checkerboard effect is achieved by the warp threads. Believe it or not, the rug is woven of a single fabric - the light and dark determined by white or black warp threads.
It is shown folded and cross wise in three table settings. However, the table is a very old dropleaf and relatively small. The dimensions of the rug would allow it to go lengthwise and unfolded on a dinner table.
