This is an extraordinary cloth - medium weight, fairly coarse linen with an art deco design invoking the Dutch Indies. The cloth has been used with some fade and one weaving flaw. That completes the disclosures. This cloth is extraordinary. I love the sophistication of the era - in this case late 1930's early 1940's, my estimate. Think trade winds, Krakatoa, adventures on the high seas. I'm not kidding - that's the message the artist intended to be sent.
Cloth: 48" x 51.5"
I have matched the tablecloth with Rug #468 to be found in the Black and Grey Collection. The miniature arbor used for the centerpiece is no longer available but there are other designs still in stock. These will be found in the Gardening Group under "Tools".
