Tres Trop Table Runners
For the big holidays I decorate the table and chairs with kimono obi. I like texture and movement on the table and obi can be folded, tied or caught into a bow, even. Unfortunately, they are hard to find; are of silk; if vintage can be fragile; and usually come dear. So, I asked the very gifted rug weavers for rag table runners that would serve the same way but without the complications. The designs are sophisticated - early America meets Shogun. The runners are 12" wide, vary in length and supple enough to fold and knot. They span the style spectrum from picnic to dining table.
