Tres Trop: The marriage of two French words never intended to be joined. Literal: "Very too much." Figurative: Illuminate your life.

Très Trop the Gardener's Eden offers "Practical Refinements for the Garden and Home".  On this website you will find five product lines - Gardening, Rag Rugs, Vintage Table Linens, Jewelry and Vintage Home.

Très Trop advocates an approach to living –employing the home as a delightful refuge and source of gracious hospitality. Whether for the garden or home, offerings will serve years rather than a trend; meld superior elements of the past with the present; and make beauty, durability and utility affordable.

Très Trop, LLC was formed in 2005 to sell hanging basketry planters from England.   To begin, the venues were garden shows - as near as 25 miles and as far away as 500.  But product lines and sources expanded.  By 2009, I realized the garden show concept would not work - the inventory included large garden structure and heavy benches.  So, in 2010, I opened Tres Trop the Gardener's Eden in Warrenton, VA.

I operated the shop for five years.  The location was off the beaten track but it suited my style - an old garage with wonderful garden space to develop.  Once again product lines expanded.

Très Trop added tropical, succulent and seasonal bedding plants gathered from as far as Texas and Florida and used them to create exotic container gardens.  Hand woven rag rugs from the Shenandoah Valley and vintage linens – cloths, napkins and towels - expanded the range of the Shop.  Custom scents from Bourbon French Parfums of New Orleans and scented Nouvelle candles from Louisiana marked a landmark birthday.  Then to round it all out - books by Nina Hartmann; and jewelry, table accessories, and embellished linens handcrafted by myself.  The garden became an overgrown beauty - I loved it.

So, from garden shows to shop to the internet agora - "the road goes ever, ever on".  Please join me and let's enjoy the walk together.
